December 10, January 21, February 25, March 24, May 19, June 2, 8:30am-12:30pm

Saturday School will be starting in December. There will be one a month. Students are “volunteered” due to truancies, and teacher, parent, administrator or self-request. Any student can attend. This is an opportunity to work in your subject area with a small group of students of 10-12.  Students should consult their teachers in advance for missing work to complete or areas to study.  The program is in its 3rd year and has worked with over 600 students.  If you would like to have your student attend, contact Mrs. Herrera in Student Services.

Please Leave Your Personal Property at Home

Think carefully before bringing cell phones, IPods/MP3s, excessive amounts of money, jewelry, and other non-academic items to school. The safest place for valuable personal property is at home. MDUSD and CVHS assumes no liability in case of theft or vandalism. When loss or theft does occur, please fill out a Theft Form in the office, however note - only a small percentage of stolen items are ever found.  Be safe in the first place - leave it at home.

Know Your Connections

  • Homelink is used to post student attendance, grades, and classwork.  If your child is in 9th grade, the same ID is used for High School that was used for Middle School.  If you do not have a log in, parents/guardians can obtain the initial information by meeting with the Principal's Secretary.
  • The Eagle Eye is an electronic newsletter sent out at least every two weeks.  Information about coming events and school concerns are included.  Be sure to sign up on the Homepage of our website.
  • School Messenger phone system sends out calls each night when a student misses any class periods.  This system is also used to send out information and reminders about events.  If you do not receive calls and notice your child's absences, please check the primary home phone number listed for your child.
  • CVHS Web contains updated information, the Master Calendar, and ongoing assistance for students and parents, such as the new graduation requirements.  Use this resource to also access teacher web sites by choosing "Teacher Directory" in the pull down menus at the top of each web page.
  • The Weekly Bulletin   is sent out electronically to staff to read aloud to students or post in their classrooms.  It contains information on events of that week.  A copy is also published on our web.
  • Progress and Report Cards are distributed eight times a year, appoximately every five to six weeks.  All but the semster reports cards in January and June are given directly to the students.  The semester report cards are mailed home.  These grades are also available on the date of distribute at the Homelink site.  The dates for the 2011-12 school year are:
